StandingHoldBoth sidesIntermediate
Side Lunge Hold is a standing stretch for your calves, glutes and hamstrings. Do it on one side, then switch.
Step by step
- 1Step your feet out nice and wide, toes facing forward, and bring your hands together in front of you.
- 2Now bend your right knee and sit over to the right, keeping your left leg straight.
What you should feel
Let your left inner thigh lengthen.
Form tips
- Right knee tracks over the right toes. Both feet flat, heels down. Feel the left inner thigh open.
- Keep your chest lifted.
- Breathe slowly… and stay steady.
Make it easier
Stay a little higher if your knees need a gentler day.
Coming out of it
Press back up to the center… and step your feet together.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
