How to do Dynamic Chest Flys
StandingFlowing movementBeginner
Dynamic Chest Flys is a standing flowing stretch for your chest and shoulders.
Step by step
- 1Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
- 2Bend your elbows and bring your forearms together in front of your face, like a goalpost folded shut.
What you should feel
Let your chest open as your arms go back.
Form tips
- Elbows stay at shoulder height. Squeeze the shoulder blades as you open. Ribs down, don't arch the back.
- Keep your shoulders soft and low.
- Move with your breath… slow and easy.
Make it easier
If your shoulders are tight, keep the movement smaller.
Coming out of it
Bring your forearms together one last time… and lower your arms.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
