How to do Reverse Lunge
On the floorHoldBoth sidesAdvanced
Reverse Lunge is a on the floor stretch for your calves, hips and hamstrings. Do it on one side, then switch.
Step by step
- 1Kneel with knees hip-width apart and tops of feet on the floor.
- 2Extend one leg straight out in front, pressing the heel into the floor.
- 3Hinge at your hips, lowering your upper body toward the floor.
- 4Place your hands on the floor for balance.
What you should feel
Feel the back of your right leg gently open.
Form tips
- Keep your chest lifted and back straight throughout the stretch.
- Let your hips stay over your left knee.
- Soften… and let gravity do the work.
Make it easier
If your hamstring is tight, keep a soft bend in your right knee.
Coming out of it
On your next exhale… walk your hands back… and come up to kneeling.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
