SeatedHoldBoth sidesIntermediate
Forearm Stretch is a seated stretch for your forearms, fingers and hands. Do it on one side, then switch.
Step by step
- 1Sit up straight with your arms at your sides.
- 2Extend one arm in front with your palm facing up.
- 3Use your other hand to gently pull back your fingers towards your body.
What you should feel
Let your shoulders stay soft and low.
Form tips
- Breathe deeply and relax your shoulders. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.
- Feel the stretch along the top of your right forearm.
- Breathe out… and let your fingers ease back a little more.
Make it easier
If your wrist is sensitive, bend your elbow slightly and ease off.
Coming out of it
Release your fingers… and let both hands rest in your lap.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
